Dear Grandchildren, James we injoyed your visit and thought I would send you that recipe before I forget. Was putting up the cookbook and remembered. Just thought maybe Jane & Eric might like it too. This comes out of a book my mother put together with clippings. MRS. MC'S STEAK 1 inch thick round steak 1 can vegetable soup 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce Few drops Louisiana Hot Sauce 1/2 to 3/4 bottle catsup Salt and pepper to suit your taste Do not use any water, as there is sufficient water in the meat. Place the steak in a roaster. (I used iron skillet). Then mix all the ingrediets together and pour over the steak. If cooked in an oven, put top on roaster, if cooked in an electric roaster leave it uncovered. Oven temperature, 300 degrees; cook about 1 1/2 hours or until steak is tender when pricked on the edge with a fork. Do not turn the roast over. Jane hear you are not going to teach in summer school. Now you can come see us sometime. Eric guess you are staying busy. Give Megin a Hug for me. We went to McAllen for Katie's recital and birthday party last week-end. Grandpa is having to have tests done on his prostate. Will go back next week to have an ultrasound to see what they find. Love to all, Granny
